We stopped by just to visit. It was warm around 80˚ and humid. We observed a brigade of "coolers" perched on the entry. They put their heads down, facing the door, and arch their mid section (thorax) up and then beat their wings super fast. This is entertaining to see 20 or so bees actually blowing air with their wings into the hive to cool it. We really enjoy watching them pop up from the face of the building to their penthouse hive.
